Not Sure

Hoping to have maintained this past month.  I think the difference will be a pound in either direction which I’ll take based on my schedule this month.  Haven’t been real diligent but haven’t slipped back into any of my bad eating habits.  Since I’m in this for the long haul, I’ll take it.  Hopefully down, but we’ll see.  See everyone tomorrow.

Hitting the Wall

Not much new to report.  Weight pretty stable.  No motivation to go and exercise but also no motivation to stop my good eating habits so not much movement on the scale.  We have a family party at the house tomorrow and my niece from South Carolina and her husband are coming.  Normally wouldn’t be big news except we have never met before.   We connected on Facebook  a year and half ago and have never even spoken on the phone.  We have corresponded via Facebook, but not frequently.  She is coming up to pick up my nephew and take him back down to SC and suggested we get together.  Should be interesting.  I am really looking forward to this.  I’ll post a post-party update this week.

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father’s Day to everyone.  We have a game at 1PM tomorrow so that’s where I will be.  Gina is visiting Carolyn down in New Orleans so it’s Brittany and I  tomorrow.  Hope to get a catch in with her before the game.  Had Chipotle for lunch.  Everyone says it is not good for you.  I don’t do the cheese or sour cream and that really keeps the calories reasonable.  I always do a bowl versus a burrito.  I always thought that tortilla wraps instead of bread was the way to go.  Maybe not.  The burrito wrap they use at Chipotle is a little under 300 calories!  Stunning to me.  You just never know until you start investigating.  Looks like my weight is about the same with little effort.  Been a rough go with a lot of work but I have strayed away from good eating very few times.  Very guilty when I do, so I think the new eating lifestyle has truly kicked in.

Update

Got to take my first walk in quite some time yesterday.  My daughter Brittany and I logged a nice 4 mile jaunt.  Got the car washed and some yard work done.  Felt pretty good getting a nice sweat going.  Spent the rest of the day doing nothing, which is hard for me.  Six games here at the ballpark starting tomorrow and that will end the first half.  Hard to believe.  I had my first bag of potato chips at the park last week.  Alex Lavisky is one of our catchers and his mother heard me say on the radio that I had been avoiding the chips due to this weight loss journey I am on.  The next day she sent four assorted bags up to the booth.  Far be it from me to not appreciate a gift, so I did have the salt and cracked pepper kettle cooked chips.  Delicious!  The bag said there was no trans fats, so hey, I have that going for me.  Moral of the story here is that I need to watch what I say on radio.  Maybe I’ll have to mention that I’m a little short financially and see what happens.  Worth a try.  Seems like the weight is still pretty steady so I need a good push here in the next couple of weeks.  I am happy however that I am maintaining the weight without killing myself.  This has truly been a lifestyle change for me and one I can certainly live with.

2 Months to go

Had another weigh in and it went the way I figured.  It was okay but nothing great.  Dropped a couple of pounds which is better that gaining.  Down 20 now.  To be honest, I did not really push it this month.  Had a lot going on and enjoyed myself.  I think the key was still eating properly.  Not much exercise expect for running around the ballpark.  I’ll need to pick that up if I’m going to lose the 13 pound I need to reach my goal over the next two months.  I hope it well for everyone else.
